About

I am a new British crime writer and founder of Medlicott Publishing. Inspired by the landscapes and emotional rhythms of rural England, I crafts character-driven detective fiction with a strong sense of place, moral complexity, and procedural authenticity.
The idea for Suffer Little Angels, the first novel in the Casey Porter series, began years ago when my own children were young — a time that sparked an interest in how ordinary families, small communities, and over-stretched detectives cope when the worst happens.
Drawing on extensive research into police procedure, witness psychology, and long-term investigative failures, I created DCI Casey Porter: a quietly determined, emotionally grounded detective shaped as much by empathy as by grit.
When not writing, I works within independent publishing, championing new voices and building Medlicott Publishing’s growing online readership.
I am currently living in Spain.
